2025 Stats & New Collaborations!
Love is in the air, friends of MoonStone!
It is a complicated time to be part of Minneapolis: our community has experienced immeasurable trauma in the New Year, AND we have seen our neighbors come together to loudly express our shared values of compassion, inclusion, and justice. We are so glad to serve as a grounding space in the midst of chaos. We’ve distributed hundreds of free whistles to neighbors, carloads of donations for our neighborhood food shelter and meal site, Soup For You (donate five items from this list and receive $5 in store credit), and portions of our weekend sales to rent relief and pet support mutual aid funds.
YOU help US serve the community. Thank you.
Or First Year in Longfellow...
Our first year in Longfellow has flown by, and it feels like this is where we’re meant to be. Here are a few cool stats about the things we’ve done across that time span:
We hosted 62 different artists across 51 weekends
(there was only one weekend we didn’t host guests in our community space!!!)
We hosted 78 classes across a wide range of topics
We bought over 500 pounds of stones and crystals
We sold 1,540 handmade candles by Shadow Wick Creations
We carried products by 40 handmade, small businesses, 30 of which are locally based!
We’re so excited to see what we’re able to do together this year. You can follow our growing list of events on our public calendar.
Collaborations...
In particular, we’re thrilled to collaborate with Queer Space Collective on a series of workshops for queer identified youth ages 13-17 introducing a variety of intuitive and ritual practices for self-care, reflection, and wellness. We will explore ways to use tarot and astrology for self understanding, how to use tools like pendulums to connect with intuition, strategies for using stones for mindfulness and intention setting, and how to craft rituals or altars to reflect one's values and call on the energies that strengthen us and our communities. Resources for each of these practices will be provided for participants, and our diverse community of instructors are excited to share their varied experiences and perspectives with attendees.
Registration is required (click here), but we also hope to offer similar workshops again soon.
Things are ugly and beautiful right now, and we’re so grateful to be in it together. Hope to see you soon. Stay warm, stay safe, stay kind.
Love,
Brenna + Team MoonStone
