Welcome to MoonStone MPLS: Natural Gems & Magical Gifts!

Proudly located in the Uptown neighborhood of Minneapolis, you may have visited this location in the past to shop for metaphysical tools and supplies. MoonStone MPLS is a new business following in the footsteps of Eye of Horus, and we are happy to continue to provide books, tools, and gifts for self-exploration and spiritual wellness. We are excited to introduce an extra dose of natural history to the collection, bringing science and philosophy alongside the mystical and magical. We invite you to come visit our new space and explore our variety of books, decks, stones, and gifts. Our mission: MoonStone MPLS seeks to bring together the natural and the magical in inclusive and imaginative ways. We are curating a collection of goods and gifts that can be used to improve one's relationship to self and the world around us. We are not aligned with specific spiritual practices or pantheons, instead looking for ways that connection to the natural world and the mystical have been incorporated in self care and spirituality across the globe and throughout history. We aim to be welcoming to customers and explorers of all levels, and can't wait to invite you in.

What happened to Eye of Horus? Eye of Horus, founded by Thraicie and Jane Hawkner, served the uptown Minneapolis community for 20 years, providing psychic services and metaphysical tools and supplies. Twenty years is an incredible run for a small business, and we all know how challenging the past few years have been for Minneapolis and the world beyond us. In November of 2023, Thraicie made the decision to retire from retail, and has passed the torch (or wand) to two former employees. Retail and psychic services now exist as two separate entities, but happily neighboring and supporting one another.

• MoonStone MPLS (908 W Lake Street) provides retail goods, including books, incense, candles, crystals, jewelry, and other gifts and is run by Brenna Wernersbach, former production manager for Eye of Horus since 2019
• 3rd Eye Psychic Salon (910 W Lake Street) provides a variety of services, including tarot, astrology, palmistry, mediumship, tea leaf readings, and more and is run by Zack Anderson / Rachel Dominguez, who started their tarot career reading at Eye of Horus in 2006

Values: We represent the odd, the unusual, the eccentric, and the proudly weird. We are glad to be locally owned, to share history, to engage with uptown and South Minneapolis, and to represent queer and trans success as small business owners. Together we thrive.
