WE'VE MOVED!

At the close of our first year of operations, MoonStone MPLS is so proud to announce that we are relocating to the Longfellow neighborhood!

YOU MOVED?

Yes! But not far! We are now 5 miles east from our original location in uptown to 3304 EAST Lake Street (former Repair Lair). We have loved our time in uptown, and we’re very excited to join the Longfellow community, where we hope to put down roots that will allow us to grow and thrive.

WHAT ARE THE PERKS?

⭐️ Our new location has a parking lot! Please enjoy well lit, off street parking when you come to visit us!

⭐️ Our new space also has air conditioning, which will make summers in the shop more enjoyable for all of us.

⭐️ The storefront has an accessibility ramp, and we share two single-stall restrooms with our neighbor, Sonora Grill. Check out the history of Sonora in the building we’ll share here.

⭐️ Longfellow is home to many other small businesses, many within walking distance, such as Soderberg Floral across the street, which is celebrating 100 years of operation this year!

⭐️ Shopping destinations include Time Bomb Vintage, Audrey Rose Vintage, Turquoise Vintage, and  E’s Emporium, among others. Moon Palace Books, one of our heroes, is right up the street for any books that we don’t have for you.  Wax World, a trans owned and operated record and comic shop, is further east on Lake.

⭐️ Dining establishments in the neighborhood include gluten-free Milkweed  and vegan-friendly Francis, the Himalayan, Midori’s Floating World (sushi) Cafe, and many more!

We are optimistic that these changes will make it easier for folks to visit us more comfortably, confidently, and frequently.

WHEN ARE YOU OPEN?

We are open Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday from 12-7pm, and hope to expand our hours later this spring or early summer.

WHAT NEXT FOR MOONSTONE?

We hope to use the new space to continue our weekend pop up markets that allow makers and small businesses to showcase their goods Fridays-Sundays. We will work towards curating the markets to pair established vendors with newcomers, and to create themes that complement community events (e.g., Pride events, Paganicon, Oddities Expos)

As the days get longer, we hope to take advantage of the light (and the parking lot) by offering events on weeknights, including workshops, classes, groups, and book clubs. We plan to highlight three areas with our events programming:

Spiritual wellness and self-exploration (e.g., astrology, tarot, and ritual practices)

Queer community resources (e.g., vocal care workshops, name change clinics, etc.)

Small business resources (e.g., workshops on tax IDs, business registrations, etc.)

We will work to increase engagement with other local small businesses for collaboration on events and marketing, like block parties and passport programs.
