Hosting Community
Sharing our space with our community is a core value of MoonStone MPLS, and we are proud to host a variety of markets and events.
This is how we got our start, and we’re excited to help the next wave of makers and teachers share their work.
Key Info for Events at MoonStone:
No Fees or Cuts: We don’t charge for space or take a percentage of sales, nor do we guarantee registrations or sales.
Marketing & Promotion: You are responsible for your own marketing. Follow our branding or use our template if needed for promotion. Please send materials 2 weeks before the event, and tag us in any of your own promotions.
Amenities & Accommodations: We provide tables, chairs, WiFi, bathroom, and fridge access. Our building has one reserved accessible parking space, an entry ramp, and two large single stall restrooms. Please contact us about additional accommodations you may need.
Parking: Parking lot available, with a request to move cars to the back after unloading.
Cancellation: Please provide 48 hours’ notice if you can’t attend; rescheduling is not guaranteed.
Questions & Concerns: Please bring any questions or concerns about your event directly to store personnel.
Pop Up Markets
Saturdays and Sundays, 12 to 7 PM
We host two or three artists each weekend. Suggest a partner to share your weekend with, or we will pair you with someone whose work complements yours, often matching newer artists with more experienced ones. We plan markets around community events like Pride, Oddities Expos, and Paganicon.
Setup: Your table stays up both days, and items are secured overnight. We provide one six-foot table and one to two chairs per vendor.
Payments: You handle your own sales and sales tax. All vendors must submit the MN ST-19 sales tax form.
Foot traffic: It varies, so bring something to work on during slower stretches. It often draws customers in.
Consignment: We are not taking new consignment artists right now, but we are happy to talk about it during your event.
Intuitive Services
Fridays, 12 to 7 PM
We host two providers each Friday. Suggest a partner to share your day with, or we will pair you with someone whose services complement yours, often matching newer providers with more experienced ones.
Setup: Set up as early as noon and stay until 7 PM. We provide one six-foot table and one to two chairs per provider.
Payments: You handle all of your own payments.
Foot traffic: It varies, so bring something to work on during slower stretches. It often draws customers in.
Workshops, Classes, and Discussion Groups
Weeknights, 6 to 8 PM
The store stays open during events, so our space may not suit anything that needs privacy. If you charge a fee, we recommend a suggested donation or pay-what-you-can, in line with our value of accessibility for all.
Setup: We provide two six-foot tables and up to 12 chairs.
Payments: You set and collect your own registration and fees.
Attendance: We list your event on our Google Calendar, store flyers, and social media. Events do best when you already have interested participants and actively promote.
We cannot guarantee attendance.
Visit Us
We are pleased to offer a shared parking lot with the Sonora grill, as well as single stall gender neutral bathrooms and accessibility ramp.
